Helping to Make a Difference

The purpose of the Erie PA Sport Fishing Association is to educate, enhance, and protect the sport fishing in Pennsylvania, especially in Lake Erie, Presque Isle Bay and its tributaries.

For those anglers, businesses, sportsmen and women who are concerned about the fishery, stocking levels, pollution, environment, promotion of fishing and are community minded, we ask you to join us by becoming  a member.

Petitioned for many years for use of the Lake Erie permit money to establish (3) fish cleaning stations in Erie     

Worked with State and local legislators to amend the long time established 2 rod rule to 3 rods 

Petitioned for increased stocking levels, and awareness for brown trout in Lake Erie and her tributaries

Established a fish verification reporting program for the community in the past and currently have a Facebook "Lake Erie brown trout" reporting page

Established the 1st Pro Am style fishing tournament in 2006 and have continued that, as well as added several more events

Established an annual Kids Fishing Day. This has been running 16 years to date now with the purpose to introduce fishing to kids and parents

Membership

Members help us to continue our mission of making a difference in the Erie fishery.  100% of the proceeds from our memberships are put back into the local fisheries.

We are currently offering 4 membership options.
Each membership is valid for a period of 1-year from the purchase date.
(all memberships registrations require a small processing fee)

  • Youth - under age 16 at the time of registration: $10
  • Adult - includes age 16 and up: $15
  • Business  - includes business name on sponsor list and 1-year entry for owner or registrant: $50
  • Corporation - includes business name and logo listed as sponsor and affiliate  on website and at events: $500

    This year, Captain Joe Nemet from Nemesis Sport Fishing is donating a charter on Lake Erie. Drawing live on July 20, 2025 at the Summer Slam event. Redeemable in 2025 or 2026. Proceeds benefit the EPSFA.

    Tickets are $10 each + .59 cent processing fee.
